Tips for Timeline on Facebook!

As many of you know by now, Facebook is mandating all profiles and pages be changed over to the new "timeline" structure by March 30, 2012.
I know this has gotten some mixed reviews, and many are not too thrilled about having to learn these new features, so I thought I would share some tips with you to help with the transition...

1--Post Views
At the top of the page in the center (beneath the Photos tab) you will have the option to toggle what posts you will see.
*Highlights--This option will show you both SBLB posts, as well as an overview of posts
made by SBLB readers on our wall!
*Posts by Page--This option will display only SBLB posts.
*Posts by Others--This will display only posts by SBLB readers.

2--Message button
At the top right hand side of the page, just beneath the main cover photo, is a button that says Message. This is a great new option that allows you to privately message SBLB with any questions, comments, tips, or anything else you would like to share with me! I'm very happy about having this option instead of having to use email all the time, so feel free to use it if you ever get stuck...or just want to say hi!

3--Post Titles
When in the "Highlights" setting which shows posts from SBLB, as well as readers, title your posts so they are easy for everyone to view! Highlights only shows the beginning of each post, so by adding a title, that ensures everyone can easily tell what you are sharing:)
EXAMPLE: If you are posting that there is a new coupon available from Lean Cuisine for $1.00 off Lasagna, you would write it like this...
"Lean Cuisine Coupon--There's a new coupon on the Lean Cuisine Facebook page...."

I hope these tips will help a little with the adjustment, and again, feel free to use the Message button if you get stuck or have any questions!

HAPPY SAVING:)
